About Concert Programs
Concert Programs publishes free, carefully researched listening guides for classical concerts by Europe's great orchestras: what to listen for, where each work comes from, and who is on stage. Read the guide before the concert, or take the PDF with you.
How a guide is made
Every fact about a work or an artist is checked against at least two independent sources, or softened until it can stand on one. Each work gets its story (why it was written, how it was first received) and a movement-by-movement note on what to listen for.
Three ways to take it with you
- Hall Companion: an A4 sheet, printed and folded, to read in your seat.
- Pocket: phone-sized pages with tappable links.
- Full Guide: the complete notes and composer lives, for reading at home.
Finding your way
Every concert, composer, work, conductor, soloist, orchestra and hall is a page of its own, and each links to the others. Follow any name to keep exploring. Start from the calendar, an orchestra's season, or a concert hall.
