McCallum Theatre

The McCallum Theatre is a 1,127-seat theatre and concert hall in Palm Desert, in California’s Coachella Valley, standing on the southern edge of the College of the Desert campus. It was built and is run by an independent non-profit organisation, Friends of the Cultural Center, and has been in use since the late 1980s. It presents a mixed programme of touring theatre, dance, popular music and classical concerts. Its orchestral series is promoted by the Palm Springs Friends of Philharmonic, which moved its concerts there when the theatre was new and brings visiting symphony orchestras each winter, among them the London Symphony Orchestra.
